It’s been a very busy and productive year here at 5&2 Ministry. We added a huge committee to our program for fundraising and financial planning. We affectionately call this committee the Fin&Fun Committee and we honestly do not know where we would be as a ministry without their loving guidance and support. We also dove into the world of Grant Writing and were awarded a few grants. We utilized this money to start a pilot program at Ring Elementary and to renovate our new Warehouse in Clymer, NY. Heil Transportation generously donated space to us at their facility on West Main in Clymer, NY and we could not be more grateful. We utilized this space for an Open House this year in conjunction with our GivingTuesday Campaign. We are so grateful to the folks at Clymer United Methodist Church and humbly acknowledge all the opportunity this space provided for us. But with all good things, we had a “good” problem and out grew our space. We packed nearly 14,000 bags in 2019 and are projected to pack nearly 20,000 in 2020. Thank you again to Clymer United Methodist Church and Heil Transportation for the generous donation of space!!

We continue with our fundraising efforts in 2019. We have an annual Meat Raffle, Golf Scramble, Charity Auction, Holiday Home Tour and various food drives throughout the year. We were sad to see the GA homes close, but opportunity came knocking for the Clymer French Creek Library after school and summer snack program and we look forward to expanding at Ring Elementary. We have a great volunteer base but are always looking for more.
